Psychology Associates of Brevard is a multidisciplinary psychology/psychiatry practice providing comprehensive mental health services in Brevard County since 1973.
Dr. Shapiro is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in depression, anxiety disorders, marital therapy, childhood behavior disorders, and chronic pain. He earned his Doctorate from Brigham Young University and served an internship at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville. He is the past president of the Brevard County Psychological Association and a founding member of Psychology Associates of Brevard.
Dr. Olsen is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in anxiety disorders, depression, marital therapy, and psychological assessment. He earned his Doctorate from Florida State University and completed an internship and fellowship at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. He has worked as a consultant for the Kennedy Space Center and Devereux Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Ferro is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in neuropsychology, and the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, dementia, and traumatic brain injury. He earned his Doctorate from Florida Institute of Technology and completed his doctoral residency at Children’s Psychiatric Center in Miami. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Ms. Kaye is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in PTSD, EMDR, sexual abuse/trauma, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, women’s issues, and marital discord. She earned her Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University. Ms. Kaye conducts effective communication, self-esteem, and health and wellness seminars throughout Brevard County and the State of Florida.
Dr. Anna Brenner is a Licensed Psychologist who likes to work with people of all ages. She specializes in assessment and treatment of learning disabilities, parenting challenges, autism spectrum disorder, depression, anxiety, adjusting to a disability, and brain injury (traumatic and stroke). She earned her Doctorate from Florida Institute of Technology and completed her Doctoral Internship at James Haley Veteran’s Hospital. She completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Tampa General Hospital in-patient Rehabilitation facility, focusing on brain injury, spinal-chord injury, as well as pediatric and adult neuropsychology. She is fluent in English and Swedish.
Dr. Demuynck is a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner who specializes in medication management for depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Florida and completed her practicum at Rogers Behavioral Health in Tampa, FL. Her other clinical sites included Malcolm Randall VA PTSD clinic and Archer Family Health Care. She also has experience working as a registered nurse in an inpatient behavioral health unit.
Dr. Sande is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, serving the adult population. She specializes in medication management of depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and other mood disorders. She received her MD degree from Universidad Central Del Caribe. She completed her psychiatry residency at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center in New York. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Christina Martin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Christina enjoys working with people of all ages. She has worked in various clinical settings including Peachford Hospital in Atlanta, Family Interventions Specialist, and Brevard County Public Schools. She earned her Masters Degree at Georgia State University, and is a Licensed Registered Play Therapist.
Dr. Elizabeth “Betty” Garis is a postdoctoral fellow who primarily works with children, adolescents, and young adults. She earned her Doctorate from the University of Florida and completed an internship at a private practice in Michigan. Betty specializes in OCD and other anxiety disorders (selective mutism, social anxiety, specific phobias, generalized anxiety disorder), depression, trauma, school refusal, ADHD, parent management training, and disruptive behavior. Within sessions, Betty utilizes compassion, humor, and kindness within a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework to help individuals address the challenges they are facing.
